Events
2008
Living Maths runs
several events throughout the academic calendar. Some of the events are
educational, some are social and some are a combination of the two. In all cases,
enjoyment, safety and fun are the main ingredients. Keep an eye out for more
details on each of the events listed below.
January
- schools go back around the 14th
of January 2008
- launch of the exciting new living maths website 14 January 2008
- enrolment forms and information
brochures will be given to schools and learners
February
- living maths classes begin first week in February
2008
- theme for the first term 2008 is "Mathemagics"
March
- Living Maths Sleepover (date to be confirmed)
- Short School vacation which begins at the end of March
April
- EASTER and PASSOVER - chocolates
and matzah
- Mr Sherman will be away for a few days in April for the Sasol Science Festival in Grahamstown
May
June
- June-July school Vacations
- Living Maths Sleepover (date to be confirmed)

- Schools come back in

September
- National Maths Week
takes place in early September 2008-- find creative ways to promote maths at
your schools
October
November
- Donovan-Cowper Trophy to be awarded
December
- Freedom - school ends
- Laptop is handed out
